Social Accounts

Manage your connected social media accounts from settings.

View connected accounts

The Settings → Social tab shows all your connected social media accounts organized by platform. Each account displays:

  • Account avatar or initial
  • Display name and @handle
  • Connection status badge

The Profile tab also shows a summary of your connected account counts.

Add an account

Click the "Add [Platform] Account" button for the platform you want to connect. This initiates an OAuth flow that:

  1. Redirects you to the platform's authorization page
  2. Asks you to grant VidLoop publishing permissions
  3. Redirects back to VidLoop on success

The new account appears immediately in your connected accounts list.

Disconnect an account

Click the Disconnect button on any connected account. A confirmation dialog warns that any scheduled posts for this account will be cancelled.

Scheduled posts

Disconnecting an account cancels all pending scheduled posts for that account. Make sure to publish or reschedule any important content first.

Token expiration

Social media access tokens expire periodically. VidLoop monitors token status and shows:

  • Connected (green) — active and ready
  • Expiring Soon (yellow) — will expire within days
  • Expired (red) — needs reconnection

For expired accounts, click Reconnect to re-authorize through the OAuth flow without losing your account data.
