How credits work, what they cost, and when they are spent.

How credits work
Credits are VidLoop's unit for video rendering. The core principle is simple:
- Content generation is free — generating topics, scripts, and slides costs nothing
- Rendering costs 1 credit — each rendered video deducts 1 credit from your balance
This means you can experiment with content generation as much as you want and only spend credits when you're ready to produce the final video.
Earning credits
Credits are added to your account through:
- Monthly refresh — your plan includes a monthly credit allotment that refreshes at the start of each billing cycle
- Credit packages — one-time purchases that add credits to your balance
- Refunds — credits are automatically refunded if a render fails
Spending credits
Credits are deducted when:
- A video render begins (1 credit per video)
Credits are not deducted for content generation, publishing to social media, scheduling, or any other activity.
Failed renders
If a render fails for any reason, the credit is automatically refunded to your balance. You're never charged for unsuccessful renders.
Credit packages
Purchase additional credits anytime from Settings → Billing:

Purchased credits never expire and stack on top of your monthly allotment.
